Incredible eatable San Francisco

Periodically I go to San Francisco for work and each and every time I go I fall in love with some place new. This last time I fell in love with four…no FIVE new places.
-
Citizen Cake - We met an old friend for a lovely brunch here. The menu looks like it changes often which is a huge selling point for me. The place is small and the staff attentive. Inside is a patisserie too with exquisite looking cakes, cupcakes, desserts and even treats like Argentine alfajores!
- The Clift Hotel – Tre chic indeed! Oh and killer chairs, chairs chairs everywhere. I think I took more photos inside the hotel then I did in SF on this particular trip. Our room was tini tiny but perfect. The room was sleek white with a ton o mirrors which I guess helped the room not seem so microscopic. I enjoyed our entire experience there. And the redwood room – described to us as the Cougars Den – was pretty sweet and super packed every night. What I loved were the “Harry Potter” like portraits on the wall – sultry, dramatic and moving!
- Prospect - Thanks to my mom and my friend, Klara, I feel tons of guilt when I order chicken in restaurants. I SHOULD be ordering more tasty and complex dishes. Well the night we went to Prospect, I broke. The Petaluma chicken with fresh morals and ricotta dumplings…my god…my god. Oh and before you hit your table – stop off at the bar, the bar tenders can whip up a killer cocktail – get the Pompelmo Frizzante.
- MedJool - Come here on the rare beautifully warm San Francisco evening. Perched in the Mission this restaurant has a great rooftop
bar that overlooks the city skyline. Our food was decent but the prices were great so I can’t complain. Note the cash only policy on the roof. - Fillmore St - my future home! That’s right…this super cool street in the center of San Francisco not only houses killer restaurants and rad shops and boutiques but it will soon also be my address.
Enjoy your next visit. Actually if you take my advice “enjoying” will be a hell of an understatement…I promise.
